Old Town Discovery 169
Being one of the longest options in the Old Town Discovery range, the Old Town Discovery 169 is a high capacity open canoe with the ability to take two paddlers and kit. This makes it a perfect boat for long multi-day trips, paddling with all the family and more! The additional length and space mean you can happily fit two adult paddlers and two child passengers allowing the whole family to be able to get out together. Alternatively, it makes a brilliant option for taking a four legged friend with you or for loading with kit for a multi-day expedition. The Discovery 169 is quite a wide boat, which helps achieve the high weight capacity and space as well as helping make it a stable, confidence inspiring model.
You can paddle long distances with ease in the Discovery 169 due to it being nearly 17 foot long. Even when loaded with kit, you will find that the tracking and efficiency of the boat will still be fantastic! It is has been a popular option for capacity and versatility for a long time, and for good reason, it really is a do it all boat.
The Old Town Discovery 169 will be a hard wearing and long lasting boat thanks to its triple layer construction and nylon gunwales. You can paddle and explore without fear of damaging the boat on something unknown under the water. This also makes it a fantastic boat for whitewater and any hard paddling.
