Enigma Square Stern 126
Enigma Canoes have taken their successful Tripper 14 model and created a Squared-Stern version by changing the stern section in their moulding process. The hull shape is still wide and stable, making it an ideal canoe for fishing from, and attaching an outboard motor to. As with all Enigma Canoes, the Square Stern 126 can be paddled using traditional canoe paddles and this model comes with oarlocks built into the gunnels.
Running the full length of the hull is a proud keel rib, which not only adds lots of structural rigidity to the hull, it also makes the 126 much easier to track in a straight line. The wide, flat hull offers superb stability and has plenty of capacity to take more than one person, plus a load of fishing gear out the day. Some anglers have even been known to stand and cast from the 126 as it is has such good primary stability. The main advantage of a fishing canoe over a fishing kayak is how dry and comfortable it is. With tall sides, raised seats and a complete hull the canoeists will generally have a much drier ride than the kayakers.
Like all the canoes from the Enigma range, the Square Stern 126 is constructed from an extremely hard-wearing triple layer plastic material that is durable, resistant to warping and has an inner foam-core to add buoyancy. The gunwales are a thicker vinyl than most other manufacturers, which helps with the overall strength. The factory fits out the 126 with three wood-web seats, with the wide centre seat perfectly situated for the rowing position. The moulded rear transom will hold either an electric outboard motor or petrol engine (up to 4 Horse Power).
