Enigma Prospector 17
The Enigma Prospector 17 is the largest canoe from the Enigma line-up, the Prospector 17 is a true workhorse. Being 16’7ft in length this Prospector 17 is well suited for tandem paddling and an extra seat can be added making this an ideal family canoe. This model offers a huge carrying capacity (500+kgs), giving you flexibility for loading it ready for a few nights away camping in comfort.
The Enigma Prospector 17 still keeps true to the classic Prospector hull shape with a moderate rocker and a forgiving slight V along the keel ,putting it at home on a variety of water types from slow moving rivers, lakes or canals through to low grade rapids. Widely considered to be the best all-round canoe shape, the Prospector is a great general purpose canoe for a variety of conditions.
Although the 17 can be paddles solo, those looking for a lighter weight canoe, with less carrying capacity but increased maneuverability then take a look at the Enigma Prospector 16. All Enigma boats are manufactured in the UK and constructed of high quality materials, including the ash outfitting.
