The Hobie Compass became an overnight success within the Hobie fleet with its lightweight, manoeuvrable hull. This means that the Compass has filled the gap between features and price within the Hobie range. Many customers suggested that a double version might be even better and Hobie responded with just that by releasing the Compass Duo. The Hobie Compass Duo is a fantastic introduction to the world of pedal kayaking and perfect for anyone looking to get out on the water and find some adventure with their family or friends.

The Compass Duo is a great craft and has been designed around the midsection of an Outback and the stern section of a Pro-Angler. This expert design has resulted in a kayak that is versatile enough to cope with both flat and choppy water, whilst remaining stable and easily driven. With two sets of Mirage pedal drives the Compass Duo will take you further and in great comfort due to the Vantage seating system which keeps you nice and dry above the deck.

The Hobie Compass Duo has two hatches plus a huge rear tank well. As well as this the forward netting means that there is plenty of storage and due to the size of the deck area there are many options for customisation should you wish to add extras. The Hobie Compass Duo has four sections of H Track pre-installed. The H Tracks are compatible with Railblaza, Ram, Scotty and other accessories. The Compass Duo comes fitted with four flush mounted rod holders, which creates a comprehensive set of fishing features which can be built upon with various Hobie accessories such as the H Crate. The Hobie Compass Duo is fully Lowrance fish finder ready with space under the hull for a transducer and optional deck glands for waterproof cable mounting.

Features

Mirage Drive GT - The Hobie kayaks are famous for their Mirage Drive pedal system. This system consists of a pair of pedals that drive two rubber fins side to side to propel the kayak forward. The Mirage System is silent while pedaling and creates no splash, it also allows you to effortlessly pedal the kayak with your feet while keeping your hands free.

Vantage Seating - Fully Adjustable, thick padded self inflation lumbar support for added comfort. Easy to fit and remove for transport.

Sail Mount - All the kayaks in the Hobie range can take a sail to power your kayak. The optional Mirage Sail Kit attaches to the sail mount on the kayak. The sail maintains speed with or without peddling

Twist & seal hatch - Twist and seal hatches are simple to use and are hinged so you will never have to worry about losing the cover. The hatches allow you to store equipment below deck. The hatches are placed perfectly infront of the seating positions for easy use.

Kick up rudder system - Hobie make great rudder system and the Compass Duo has on of the best kick up rudder systems you will find, along with finger top controls next to the rear seat.

Two piece paddle - Hobie's come complete with a two piece paddle that can be used for additional manoeuvrability or for when you are not peddling. When not in use the paddle can be stored in the handy hull paddle holder.

H-Tracks - H-Track mounting systems put in easy to reach places for both the front and rear paddler.

Mid Boat Carry Handle - Moulded carry handles placed in the middle makes it easy to move, lift and store your kayak.

Front Mesh - Allows for storage under the mesh. This really makes the most of the deck space available.

Cup holders - Cup holders are conveniently placed within easy reach. Large Hobie drinks bottle comes with the Hobie kayaks.

Fishing Rod Holders - Molded in to the hull, these rod holders are ideally placed for rods. The holders are also handy for carrying a fishing net or safety flag.

Cargo Area - Large storage area for all the gear you want to take out with you. Bungee tie downs keep it all secure
