Wavesport Project X
The Wavesport Project X! A classic wave-oriented freestyle kayak made favourite by many paddlers, amateur and pro alike.
Excelling at carving on fast waves, rapid edge-to-edge transitions and capable of all the latest freestyle moves. The flat planing hull surfs green waves with ease, but is loose enough that flat spins are simple and easy to control.
Compared to the Wavesport Mobius, the Project X will be easier to control on a wave and more suitable for down river play.
The Wavesport Project X has longer, more slicey ends and the volume has been moved closer to the paddler making the Project X more forgiving in cartwheels and other freestyle moves for smaller paddlers, larger paddlers will find it more stable as well. It makes flat water moves easier too, and feels less likely to topple over in bow and stern stalls. The more balanced volume distribution still maintains a good ‘pop’ allowing loops, even on flat water, to get a good amount of air.
The slicey ends will help pro boaters link moves and get aspiring freestylers their first cartwheels, and the more pronounced bow rocker eliminates pearling when sitting on the green in a hole, and keeps the bow up on a fast wave.
Available in two outfitting choices to suit every pocket and three sizes to accommodate most paddlers. The Project X is set to continue being a popular boat choice for professional and aspiring freestyle paddlers.
Paddlers wanting a more hole specific playboat, that will provide more air on vertical moves, the Wavesport Mobius is billed as a bigger ‘air-grabber’.
