Islander Bolero
The Islander Bolero is a great, user friendly touring kayak available in two sizes, for smaller and larger paddlers. The Bolero is designed to offer a smooth and comfortable ride for beginners, while still having features to allow for developing technique. The Islander Bolero features soft edges and a flatter hull, making it very stable and easy to use, as well as being quite efficient tracking through the water.
The Islander Bolero also features two storage compartments, a 10inch round hatch at the bow and a large oval hatch at the stern, each with mini-cell foam sealed bulkhead. There are also bungee cord areas for on-deck storage, great for attaching a deck bag. The addition of the drop down skeg will keep you tracking straight in more demanding conditions. A great weekend boat, as it paddles well in a variety of environments and conditions.
The Islander Bolero has an integrated moulded-in seat and adjustable backrest and foot pegs, to find a comfortable fit. The thigh/knee braces are secure but not too aggressive making the kayak easy to get in and out of.
