Ocean Kayak Malibu Pedal
The 12ft Malibu Pedal Drive Kayak is based on the popular Old Town Salty 120 kayak, and thanks to its dynamic hull-shape makes it suitable for both fresh and saltwater kayaking adventures. Incredibly stable, the Malibu PDL also offers a dry ride thanks to the raised seat and upswept bow that cuts through and over small waves, rather than ploughing straight into them and nose diving. At twelve feet in length this kayak is considered a good all-round size and is more than capable of taking most sizes of adults, or older children.
The pedal system itself is Old Towns legendary PDL Drive, that is both simple to operate (forward or reverse) and remove from the kayak when not in use, or during transportation. The removable raised seating system has been designed to provide good lumbar support and is adjustable along a shuttle track to accommodate paddlers/pedallers with different leg lengths. The meshed seat cover gives ventilation and drainage, whilst the frame system keeps the user higher-up away from the water.
For those members of the family that enjoy catching fish, the Ocen Kayak Malibu PDL is crammed with useful features that can be utilised in pursuit of the next big catch. With factory fitted flush-mounted rod holders, accessory tracks and a dedicated transducer housing built into the hull. Budding kayak anglers can jump onboard and have a great day's fishing with the minimum of fuss and no need for any drastic boat alterations.
