Riot Edge 11
The Riot Edge 11 touring kayak is stable yet low on the water and agile. The Edge 11 literally feels like a shrunk-down sea kayak thanks to its shallow v shaped hull and a generous yet sleek outline. The drop down skeg will keep you on course on those windy days, so you can focus on the destination, while the front deck rigging and sealed rear storage compartment takes care of your belongings.
The Riot Edge 11 is ideal for general purpose paddling on a wide range of waters, including sheltered coastal areas, canals, lakes and most of the inland waterways the south coast has to offer. The nicely contoured hull and upswept bow, provides stability on flat water, yet also allows the kayak to cut through chop and small waves if the wind gets up.
With plenty of well designed features, the Edge 11 can enhance the paddlers time spent on the water. Including this kayak comes equipped with a padded comfortable seat and backrest. A rear storage hatch with bulkhead for lunch or overnight camping equipment. There is even a rod holder behind the seat for those wishing to dabble in a spot of kayak angling.
11 ft is what most consider the "magic number" in day touring kayak lengths, providing a great combination of forward speed and manoeuvrability. The Edge 11 is easier to turn than longer sea kayaks, lighter and more nimble on the water, but is also long enough to cover the miles. This kayak is a superb performer, suited for beginner to intermediate kayakers.
