Gumotex Thaya
The Gumotex Thaya is an upgraded version of the hughly popular Gumotex Solar 3. The revolutionary Thaya inflatable kayak, uses a combination of the special Nitrilon® material and Dropstitch* technology, to produce excellent stability, stiffness and manoeuvrability.
The Gumotex Thaya is designed with family paddling in mind. The Thaya can be quickly changed from a solo, to a tandem. As well as the optional extra seat transforms the Thaya to a three man kayak just by moving the seats. The Dropstitch* construction makes the Thaya paddle more efficiently through the water than your typical inflatable of this size. The Gumotex Theya is stable and easy to control due to its long waterline and wide beam.
The Thaya is the perfect choice for paddles looking to paddle on flat waterways such as lakes and estuaries, slow moving rivers and even gentle white-water up to grade 2.
*The Dropstitch technology is based on the connection of the upper and lower layers of the fabric with thousands of polyester fibers. This fabric, equipped with an airtight coating, is protected from both sides by a resistant Nitrilon® material. Thanks to the thousands fibres holding the both layers together, these products can be inflated up to very high pressure. It enables the material to obtain robustness approaching the robustness of solid materials, and that is with the preservation of the same rollability as our existing boats.
